In our repair shop in Calgary head office is a modern 10,000 square foot facility which includes an overhaul and repair bay, sub-assembly repair area, CNC machining area, a parts department and 90,000 sq ft of outside storage space, with a fully equipped machine shop supported by our partner company Mid Western Machine Works which is located very close to our facility, makes Mid Western Compressor Supplies a very competitive company in the market supplying a one-stop-shop service to the oil & gas market.
To support our clients in Northern Alberta we have established a facility in Edmonton, this 8,000 square foot facility house an in house repair shop, machining capabilities, parts department, metalizing also a field service unit for our lubrication service.
Compressor Packages
Mid Western Compressor Supplies purchases used compressor packages either for parts or for the purpose of reconditioning or to retrofit to meet new provincial legislated requirements.
We have the knowledge and the experienced staff to be able to produce top quality work. With the aid of our partner company Mid Western Machine Works, Compressor Supplies can retrofit and total recondition the compressor skid from the engine to the compressor as well as supply parts for servicing your unit. We also offer on site lubrication services.
Compressor Engine Block Reconditioning
In Calgary Mid Western has the capability to recondition your large bore gas or diesel engine to the highest quality by our senior craftsmen. With our service customers have had the opportunity to minimize production losses by having a reliable vendor that can get them back into production. Mid Western can handle even the largest gas and diesel engines from trucks and heavy equipment and can completely re-machine any engine block.
We feature align boring, resleeving upper and lower liner fits and recutting packing ring bores, recondition connecting rods to OEM specification and rocker arm rebushing, cylinder head, manifold and crankcase resurfacing.
Compressor Frames
When it comes to compressor frames Mid Western is capable of line boring on crank beds, also supply new or reconditioned compressor frame cranks. Our quality recondition con rods and crossheads are industry leading.
Crossheads are inspected, the shoes are resprayed and machined to the correct specs. The pin bores are inspected and resized back to original standard. We inspect connecting rods and replace bushings as well.
Compressor Cylinder Rebuilding
Mid Western is able to utilize our experienced staff to provide quality service in all aspects of compressor cylinder retrofits and repairs. After market variable volume pockets are made in our shop. Improved design features are incorporated in these clearance pockets to give longer and more trouble free service.
Grey iron and ductile iron liners are designed and manufactured to precise fits for all cylinders that are capable of having liners installed. When possible, sprayed cylinder bores can be furnished upon customer request.
Cylinders are relined with either slip liners or interference fit liners. All cylinders are cleaned and visually inspected for cracks or damage to the valve pocket seating area. If necessary, dye or wet penetrant inspection will also be done. When possible all damage is repaired. Hydro testing and recertification will be done upon request.
Compressor Rods
Since Mid Western has the ability to perform all the processes from the start to the finish in house, we can provide our customers with excellent turn around times. When our customers are in need of a fast turn around Mid Western has the staff and the experience to exceed our customer's expectations.
